Preparation Note: Always start with a completely clean and sanitized workspace. Thoroughly wash your hands and cleanse your face before beginning your skincare routine.
Step 1: Prep the Device & Cartridge
- Ensure your Dr. Pen A10 is fully charged (for wireless use) or connected to its power adapter.
- Open a brand new, sterile needle cartridge. Insert it into the top of the pen and twist it clockwise until it locks securely into place.
Step 2: Apply Your Favorite Serum
- Apply a generous layer of your preferred hydrating serum (such as Hyaluronic Acid or a nutrient-rich skin booster) to the target area.
- Crucial Tip: Always keep the skin well-lubricated during use. Never glide the pen on dry skin.
Step 3: Power On & Adjust Settings
- Press and hold the all-in-one button to turn the device on.
- Tap the same button to cycle through the 1 to 5 speed levels. Look at the LED light display to easily monitor your current speed.
- Rotate the non-slip dial to set your desired needle depth setting ($0 - 2.5\text{ mm}$). Always start with the lowest settings if you are a beginner.
Step 4: Techniques & Movements
- Use your free hand to gently pull the skin taut.
- Guide the pen across your face or neck using gentle, steady motions in a cross-hatch pattern: move vertically, horizontally, and then diagonally.
- Keep the device moving continuously. Do not press too hard or press and hold it down on a single spot.
Step 5: Post-Routine Care
- Press and hold the power button to turn off the pen. Remove the single-use cartridge and safely discard it immediately.
- Apply an extra layer of soothing serum or place a cooling, deeply hydrating sheet mask over your face to calm the skin.
- Avoid direct sun exposure, heavy makeup, and harsh active skincare ingredients (such as Retinol or high-strength Vitamin C) for 24 to 48 hours. Always apply sunscreen the next day!
